Our location at the Rowardennan Hotel is on the quieter eastern shore of Loch Lomond. Please note there is no public transport directly to Rowardennan with bus routes terminating at Balmaha.

Directions to LLWB at the Rowardennan Hotel from Glasgow
By Road: To get to Rowardennan head for Drymen on the B858 just left off the A811 Stirling Road. In Drymen turn left onto the Balmaha Road the B837. After around 4 miles you come to Balmaha. The road then narrows and heads north for around 6 miles (watch for walkers, cyclists and oncoming traffic). You will then come to our location at the Rowardennan Hotel on the left at the foot of Ben Lomond.

BY TRAIN AND BUS
Rail From Glasgow Queen Street to Balloch Journey Time: Approx 30 mins
First Scotrail operates a half hourly train service Bus from Balloch to Balmaha: Bus: No. 309 - Journey time: 14 mins.
Bus from Glasgow to Drymen: Bus : No.8 (Glasgow to Balfron via Drymen) leaving from Buchannan Bus station, At Drymen, change to local service bus No 309 to Balmaha.
INVERBEG JETTY
If it is more convenient, we can pick you up by boat from the Inverbeg Inn Jetty which is on the opposite side of the loch from Rowardennan and a quick boat trip away. Buses and trains run regularly from Glasgow to Balloch and up the loch side to Inverbeg.
